In this meeting the committee reviewed information sent by relevant authorities regarding letter sent by Ihavandhoo constituecny member Mohamed Shifau to inquire about progress of fish storage facilities in the North region. In this regard committee decided to seek further information from Ministry of Finance and State Trading Organisation Plc as it was noted in the information sent by the relevant authorities to the Committee regarding the matter that the Ministry of Finance was working on handing over the project to the State Trading Organization Plc. Secondly in this meeting committee reviewed information received from relevant authorities regarding issue proposed by North Thinadhoo constituency member Abdul Mughnee to review domestic air fares rise due to change in ground handling fee by airports especially from Kaadedhdhoo. During the discussions it was found that the State Owned Enterprises Committee was also reviewing a related issue in this regard, therefore, committee decided to request State Owned Enterprises Committee to send their findings regarding the matter and to make a decision based on that later on. Also in this meeting committee reviewed information received from relevant authorities regarding issue proposed by Milandhoo constituency member Ali Riza review rise in waste collection fee from business and commercial collectors. During the discussions it was found that the State Owned Enterprises Committee was also reviewing a related issue in this regard, therefore, committee decided to request State Owned Enterprises Committee to send their findings regarding the matter and to make a decision based on that later on. Lastly in this meeting, the committee extended deadline to complete the committee works of Companies’ Bill to 30 June 2023 and Maldives Chamber of Commerce and Industries bill to 30 September 2023.
