The first thing in the meeting was the selection of a chair of the committee. Legal Officer Ishaq Hussain presided over the selection process. Hulhumale’ contituency member Ali Niyaz’s name was proposed by Gemanafushi Constituency Member Ahmed Saeedh and supported by Thulusdhoo contituency member Hisaan Hussain. Hulhumale’ contituency member Ali Niyaz was unanimously elected as the chair of the committee. Furthermore, for the committee deputy chair, Hoarafushi contituency member Ahmed Saleem’s name was proposed by Thulusdhoo contituency member Hisaan Hussain and supported by Gemanafushi Constituency Member Ahmed Saeedh. Hoarafushi contituency member Ahmed Saleem was unanimously elected as the deputy chair of the committee.
