In the meeting to discuss and take a decision on the budget for 2024; 1. An increase of MVR 248,846,563 (two hundred forty-eight million eight hundred forty-six thousand five hundred and sixty-three) to the Public Sector Investment Program (PSIP) with the changes proposed by Dhaandhoo Constituency member Yauqoob Abdulla and seconded by Maradhoo Constituency member was passed by the majority. 2. An increase of MVR 57,262,352 (fifty seven million two hundred and sixty-two thousand three hundred and fifty-two) to the recurring expenditure and capital expenditure of the domestic budget of the offices proposed by Dhaandhoo Constituency member Yauqoob Abdulla and seconded by Maradhoo Constituency member was passed unanimously. 3. Dhaandhoo Constituency member Yauqoob Abdulla proposed to change the scope of pay harmonization to implement the government's new policies in the special badge of 2024, to include revision of salaries and allowances to be determined by the Parliament in it. It was seconded by North Kulhudhufushi Constituency Member Yasir Abdul Latheef and passed by the majority. 4. Dhaandhoo Constituency member Yauqoob Abdulla proposed the "Recurring expenditure and capital expenditure of offices' domestic budget" and the "program budget for responsible offices" after the changes passed previously, which was seconded by Maradhoo Constituency member and passed unanimously. 5. The committee unanimously passed to include the estimated Grant of MVR 33,547,021,929 (Thirty-three billion five hundred forty-seven million twenty-one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine) for the year 2024, as proposed by the Ministry of Finance. 6. With the changes in the domestic budget of offices, the increment of MVR 57,262,352 (fifty-seven million two hundred and sixty-two thousand three hundred and fifty-two) to the "recurring expenditure and capital expenditure of the domestic budget of offices", as proposed by Dhaandhoo Constituency member Yauqoob Abdulla and was seconded by Maradhoo Constituency member was passed unanimously. 7. The committee unanimously passed of MVR 8,914.1 (Eight thousand Nine Hundred and Fourteen point One) Million as the total amount of Public Sector Investment Program (PSIP), after the changes passed previously. 8. The committee passed seven general recommendations to be included in the report, as proposed by Dhaandhoo Constituency member Yauqoob Abdulla and seconded by Central Fuvahmulah Constituency Member Hussain Mohamed Didi. 9. After the mentioned changes brought to the budget of MVR 49,549,713,738 (Forty-nine billion five hundred and forty-nine million seven hundred and thirteen million seven hundred and thirty-eight) proposed by the Ministry of Finance, the committee unanimously passed the total budget of MVR 49,855,823,653 (forty-nine billion eight hundred and fifty-five million twenty-three thousand six hundre and fifty-three).
