In this meeting, the chairperson and deputy chairperson were appointed amongst the members of the committee. Deputy Director Uz Hassan Adhuham presided over the selection process of committee chairperson and vice chairperson. South Mahchangolhi constituency member Ahmed Haitham’s name was proposed by South Galolhu Constituency Member Meekaail Ahmed Naseem and seconded by Gemanafushi constituency member Ahmed Saeed. South Mahchangolhi constituency member Ahmed Haitham was unanimously elected as the chair of the committee. Meanwhile, Gemanafushi constituency member Ahmed Saeed's name was proposed by South Galolhu Constituency Member Meekaail Ahmed Naseem and seconded by South Galolhu Constituency Member Meekaail Ahmed Naseem. Gemanafushi constituency member Ahmed Saeed was unanimously elected as the deputy chair of the committee.
