In this meeting, the members discussed the work of sub-committee appointed to investigate the issue of social media threats received to Ihavandhoo constituency member Mohamed Shifau. Since the matter is being investigated by the Maldives Police Service, Manadhoo constituency member Ahmed Haroon proposed to file the case for the time being, which was seconded by Komandoo constituency member Mohamed Rashid and passed unanimously. An issue received from Maradhoo constituency member Ibrahim Shareef claiming that the behavior of Speaker has violated privilege of the Parliament was discussed and as proposed by South Thinadhoo Constituency Member Abdulla Saneef and seconded by Manadhoo Constituency Member Ahmed Haroon, the committee unanimously passed to file the issue. Furthermore, the committee discussed an issue related to Naifaru constituency member Ahmed Shiyam injured in a scuffle between members of parliament which was received on 4th June 2020. As proposed by Manadhoo constituency member Ahmed Haroon and seconded by Komandoo constituency member Mohamed Rashid, the committee unanimously passed to file the issue.
