In this meeting, the chairperson and deputy chairperson were appointed amongst the members of the committee, due to the re-composition of the Standing Committees of the People’s Majlis. 5 members attended the committee gave vote to Vilingili Constituency Saud Hussain as a chairperson. Maradhoo constituency member Ibrahim Shareef’s name was proposed by Gemanfushi Constituency Member Ahmed Saeed and seconded by Hithadhoo Dhekunu constituency member Ibrahim Nazim. Vilingili constituency member Saud Hussain was passed by the majority as the chair of the committee. Meanwhile, Hithadhoo Dhekunu constituency Ibrahim Naazil’s name was proposed by Funadhoo Constituency Member Mohamed Shahid and seconded by Velidhoo constituency member Mohamed Abdullah Shafeeq. Hithadhoo Dhekunu constituency Ibrahim Naazil’s name was passed by the majority as the deputy chair of the committee.
