The meeting today conducted interview of Mr. Mohamed Luveiz (Ma.Dhilaasaage) regarding his appointment as the High Commissioner of the Republic of Maldives to the Republic of Singapore, in compliance with Article 115(D) of the Constitution. It was decided to re-schedule the interview of Dr.Salma Shareef (MA.Vilaadhashuge) until after verifying her citizenship status, as it was mentioned in her curriculum vitae that she holds dual citizenship. Furthermore, the Committee discussed on the matter of Maldives being a signatory to the “Agreement under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the sea on the Conservation and Sustainable use of Marine Biological Diversity of Areas beyond National Jurisdiction”.
