In this meeting, the chairperson and deputy chairperson were appointed amongst the members of the committee. Central Henveyru constituency member Ali Azim’s name was proposed by Alifushi Constituency Member Mohamed Rasheed Hussain and seconded by Velidhoo constituency member Abdulla Shafeeq. Central Henveyru constituency member Ali Azim was passed by the majority as the chair of the committee. Meanwhile, Maavashu constituency Mohamed Saeed’s name was proposed by Alifushi Constituency Member Mohamed Rasheed Hussain and seconded by Velidhoo constituency member Abdulla Shafeeq. Maavashu constituency Mohamed Saeed was passed by the majority as the deputy chair of the committee. Committee adopted standing order followed by 18th Majlis' Committee on composition. Further committee discussed about the procedure followed while determining the standing committees composition based on representation of the political parties and the independent members.
