In this meeting, the Committee first discussed Issues received from the public. The Committee also decided to conduct meetings with employers and employees to discuss the Issue submitted by Hon. Mohamed Shifau, MP for Ihavandhoo, regarding the unavailability of financial benefits to persons between 55 to 65 years of age, who voluntarily retire or are dismissed from employment. Further in this meeting, the Committee decided to extend the deadline to finish its work on the Associations Bill until 23 March 2020.
