The Committee decided to set the deadline to finish the Education Bill. It unanimously voted to pass the proposal by MP for Thulusdhoo constituency Ibrahim Naseem, endorsed by MP for Kurendhoo constituency Abdul Ghani Abdul Hakeem, to set 30 April 2020 as the deadline. Further, the Committee decided to meet with 5 organizations (i.e., Ministry of Housing & Urban Development, Ministry of National Planning & Infrastructure, Male' City Council, Housing Development Corporation and Maldives National Association of Construction Industry) in relation to the Tenancy Bill. The Committee also decided to extend the deadlines set for Resolution in relation to the maritime industry and Resolution in relation to difficulties in salvaging grounded vessels. The Committee unanimously voted to set 30 April 2020 as the new deadline for the former, and to forward the Resolution to the Committee on Economic Affairs and to the Government Oversight Committee to acquire further information. And it unanimously voted to set 15 April 2020 as the new deadline for the latter, and to forward the Resolution to Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation to acquire further information. Also in today's meeting, the Committee discussed the Bill to Amend Land Transport Act (law number: 5/2009); sections 31 to 37 of the Bill were discussed.
