In today's meeting, the Committee discussed the Bill to Amend Land Transport Act (law number: 5/2009). As such, it voted to pass amendments to subsections 14(a), (b), (c) and (d) of the Bill. The Committee decided to set the deadline to finish the Strata Titles Bill. It unanimously voted to pass the proposal by MP for Dhiggaru constituency Ikram Hassan, endorsed by MP for Holhudhoo constituency Yoonus Ali, to set 22 July 2020 as the deadline. Further, the Committee decided to send the Strata Titles Bill and Tenancy Bill to 7 organizations (i.e., Ministry of Housing & Urban Development, Ministry of National Planning & Infrastructure, Male' City Council, Housing Development Corporation, Maldives National Association of Construction Industry, Amin Construction Private Limited and Rasheed Carpentry and Construction Private Limited) to obtain their written comments.
