The Committee discussed the Issue submitted by MP for South Galolhu Constituency Meekail Ahmed Naseem, in relation to reliefs provided by service providers of the communication industry being unhelpful to the public during the Covid-19 pandemic and to hold the Maldives Communications Authority accountable. Following discussions, the Committee decided not to proceed with the issue further, as the Members believe that reasonable relief to prices was provided to the by the Government and service providers of the communication industry during the pandemic. As such, the Committee decided not to meet with officials of the Maldives Communications Authority at this time. The Members also believed that reasonable resources for the ease of the public were introduced by service providers of the communication industry.
