In today's meeting, the Committee discussed the Education Bill, and sections 20 to 27(c) of the Bill were passed with amendments from the Committee. Two amendments were proposed to section 20 of the Bill: 1. Proposal by MP for Gemanafushi constituency Ahmed Saeed, endorsed by MP for Dhiggaru constituency Ikram Hassan to amend the section; and 2. Proposal by MP for Holhudhoo constituency Yoonus Ali, endorsed by MP for Thulusdhoo constituency Ibrahim Naseem to pass the section without amendments. The second proposal was passed with 4 votes.
