In today's meeting the Committee discussed the Maldives Higher Education Bill. The following amendments to the Bill were passed by the Committee: 1. Majority of the Members voted to remove chapter 6 (Chapter on National Research Council) of the Bill; 2. Members unanimously voted to remove sections in the Bill in relation to funds; and 3. Members unanimously voted to amend the title of the Bill as "Maldives Higher Education and Training Bill".
