Committee discussed about the report on issues regarding the formulation of regulations under the Act no 14/2019 (Maldives Fisheries Act) and members agreed that the Minister of Fisheries & Agriculture was not able carry out the responsibilities stated in the Maldives Fisheries Act. Therefore, committee decided to send the information obtained about this issue to the Government Oversight Committee for further review. Then committee discussed about Construction regulation for islands and lagoons with no planning regulation and members decided to review this regulation in detail. The committee also discussed about the report on issues regarding fees and fines imposed under regulations and finalized to sent the report to majlis floor with the passed amendments.
