The committee sat with management and board directors of Fuel Supplies Maldives to discuss about recent oil corruption case involving employees of FSM and Maldives Ports Limited. The company highlighted that they have taken immediate action by suspending involved employees mentioned in internal audit report of Maldives Ports Limited sent to FSM on 25th November 2020 and starting an investigation on the issue by Audit Department. The members and participants discussed loopholes in internal control system and need for a good governance to reduce such cases in future.
