In this meeting, the chairperson and deputy chairperson were elected amongst the members of the committee. MP Hassan Latheef of West Henveyru Constituency proposed the name of MP Imthiyaz Fahumy of North Maafannu Constituency as a candidate for the Chairperson of the Committee. His proposal was seconded by MP Ibrahim Riza of Guraidhoo Constituency. MP Imthiyaz Fahumy of North Maafannu Constituency was elected unanimously as the Chairperson of the Committee. MP Hassan Latheef of West Henveyru Constituency also proposed the name of MP Moosa Siraj of Fonadhoo Constituency as a candidate for the Deputy Chairperson of the Committee. His proposal was seconded by MP Hisan Hussain of Thulhaadhoo Constituency. MP Moosa Siraj of Fonadhoo Constituency Constituency was elected unanimously as the Deputy Chairperson of the Committee.
