In this meeting, the committee discussed and finalized the standing order of the committee. MP Hassan Latheef of West Henveyru Constituency proposed that that the working quorum of the committee is 4 members and the voting quorum of the committee is 6 members. This proposal was seconded by MP Ali Hussain of Kendhoo Constituency. The standing order of the committee was adopted by the Committee as per the discussions of the committee members. Secondly, the Committee discussed the issue of determining a deadline for the committee to review the Bill on the Presidential Commissions. 17 June 2019 was proposed by MP Jeehan Mahmood of Hinnavaru Constituency and seconded by MP Abdulla Shaheem Abdul Hakeem of Kanditheemu Constituency. Since this proposal was not objected by any other member of the committee, the deadline for the committee to review the Bill on the Presidential Commissions was decided as 17 June 2019. Furthermore, the Committee unanimously decided, in compliance with the proposal of MP Hassan Latheef of West Henveyru Constituency which was seconded by MP Moosa Siraj of Fonadhoo Constituency, to meet with the Judicial Service Commission regarding the works of the commission, the decision of the court to release former Vice President Ahmed Adeeb Abdul Ghafoor and the decision to send him abroad.
