In this meeting the Committee discussed how the Committee would proceed to review the Judicial Service Commission Report regarding Magistrate Nihaam Rasheed, Senior Magistrate of Rathafandhoo Magistrate Court. Since the Commission's investigation was conducted in compliance with the laws and regulations, MP Moosa Siraj of Fonadhoo Constituency proposed that the committee should conclude its work on this report. This proposal was seconded by MP Abdulla Shaheem Abdul Hakeem of Kanditheemu Constituency, and it was unanimously passed. Furthermore, the Committee discussed the deadline for which the Committee would conclude reviewing the Bill on the Amendment to the Judicial Service Act, submitted to the parliament by MP Imthiyaz Fahmy of North Maafannu Constituency. MP Abdulla Shaheem Abdul Hakeem of Kanditheemu Constituency proposed that the deadline should be 18th July 2019 and this proposal was seconded by MP Ibrahim Muiz of North Henveyru Constituency. This proposal was also passed unanimously. Under the 'other issues' part of the agenda, MP Hisaan Hussain of Thulhaadhoo Constituency raised the issue of sending Public Prosecutors to China for training purposes and the Committee decided to send a letter regarding the issue to the Prosecutor General.
