In this meeting, the Committee discussed the Resolution submitted by MP Jeehan of Hinnavaru Constituency regarding the decisions of the Supreme Court limiting the powers of the Human Rights Commission of the Maldives. Furthermore, the Committee also discussed the Judicial Service Commission Report on the backlog of cases in the Criminal Court. And the Committee also decided the deadline for the Committee to complete its work on the Judicial Service Commission report on the unconstitutional decisions of the Supreme Court as 15th October 2019.
