In this meeting, the Committee reviewed the Presidential nominee for Prosecutor General. In compliance with the Standing Order of the parliament, the Committee decided to open for public comments regarding the nominee. And then the Committee decided when the nominee would be interviewed. Next, the Committee reviewed the Presidential Nominees for Chief Justice and Justice of Supreme Court. The Committee decided to continue reviewing the issue in an another meeting. Furthermore, the Committee reviewed the Judicial Service Commission Report regarding the removal of Judge Ahmed Hailam, Senior Judge of the Criminal Court from office. The Committee also reviewed Judicial Service Commission Reports regarding the removal of Senior Magistrate of Thulusdhoo Magistrate Court Uz. Ainaan Ali and Senior Magistrate of R. Maakurath Magistrate Cout Uz. Adnan Hussain from office. After having reviewed all reports, the Committee determined that the investigations were conducted in accordance with Judicial Service Commission Act and that the Commission have followed the procedures.
