In this meeting, the Committee reviewed the issue regarding the attempted robbery in front of Bank of Ceylon on 25th October 2020. The Committee also reviewed the letter from Maldives Police Service highlighting the preventive measures that could be taken in the future regarding such issues and decided to forward the letter to the parliamentary committee reviewing the Police Bill. Furthermore, the Committee decided to attain further information regarding this issue from Ministry of Home Affairs and also to review the policies of other countries regarding such issues.
