Committee reviewed the Bill on Amendment to the Penal Code act (no. 9/2014) and discussed on a new deadline as the deadline was set for 23rd June 2021. (TODAY) As a revised deadline, 1st July 2021 was proposed by MP Siraj proposed and seconded by MP Hassan Latheef. Majority of the committee present voted in favor of it. (7 Members voted in favor, and 2 members voted against) Therefore, this proposal was passed. Then, MP Ibrahim Riza Proposed to reject the Bill and MP Ali Hussain seconded. Majority of the committee present voted against it. (2 members voted in favor and 7 members voted against) Therefore, this proposal was not passed.
