Public Account Committee's 30th meeting for the year 2021

In today's meeting, a request received from kalaidhoo council to have a meeting with the committee to discuss the budget for the 2022 was discussed and the committee decided to inform them to discuss their budget requirements with the Ministry of Finance instead The paperwork received from Anti-Corruption Commission of the issue of not having sufficient evidence as to how the Ministry of Youth has spent 377،693.30 received from a charity work done by Football Association of Maldives (FAM) to help the Rohingya Muslim was shared with the members and decided to get an update from Ministry of Youth about the money. The letter the Secretariat of Kalaidhoo Council sent to Ministry of Finance to grant them the persmission to higher staff for the vacant positions was shared with the members and decided to file the issue. Issue highlighted by Children's Ombudsperson's Office regarding their budget for the year 2022 was discussed and decided to request them to later submit the issue to the Budget Committee. Issue submitted by Election Commission regarding Ministry of Finance refusing to approve the risk allowance to their permanent staffs during the election was discussed and decided to get information from Election commission and Finance regarding the issue. Issue submitted by the Department of Judicial Administration regarding Supreme Court giving allowances to their former judges even after the amendment to the Court Law was discussed and decided to inform Supreme court to follow the Law. Annual report of Presidential Commission on Corruption and Asset Recovery for the year 2020 was shared and decided to conduct a meeting with them to further discuss this.
