The meeting was held as part of the review of the annual reports of the Capital Market Development Authority for the years 2019, 2020 and 2021 based on the key performance indicators assigned to the authority and to discuss Capital Market Development Authority's Capital Market Summary Report for the year 2021. In this meeting a presentation was given by CMDA highlighting details of Capital Market Development Authority's Capital Market Summary Report for the year 2021 and a summary of work carried out in 2019, 2020 and 2021 to regulate capital market, to develop capital market, to sensitize the public to the capital market and raise awareness regarding financial sector, to seek the assistance of market stakeholders for development of the capital market, to strengthen cooperation with foreign regulators and stock exchanges, to create health competitive market for security trade, to issue licenses to securities traders, to supervise Maldives Retirement Pension Scheme, and to strengthen the authority's work. The authority also clarified the information that members wished to inquire further about the annual reports and presentation given by them.
