Regarding the letter sent by Public Accounts Committee requesting for comments of pay structure of Local council members the committee highlighted these issues, and recommended to adjust the salary structure. 1. The salary determined for Island council members seems to be extremely less compared to the work they need to do and members also pointed that council member's salary need to be higher than that of administrative staffs of the councils. 2. The salary of Atoll council president and City Council Mayors should be in the same level. Regarding the closure of "Male' dhathuruveringe market" committee decided to inform MP Ibrahim Shareef of the status of the market by refering to letter sent by Male' city council and Ministry of Planning & Infrastructure. In Addition to that, committee decided to meet Local Government Authority and Maldives Land & Survey Authority regarding the letter sent by Male' Atoll Thulusdhoo Council
