In today's meeting, the petition committee reviewed the water problems and other major issues of 100 housing units constructed in L. Naifaru. The committee passed to make an official visit to Lh. Naifaru to take look of the situation in the case. The Committe also decided to meet representatives of the Ministry of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure on the matter. In response to the petition filed by the employees of Maldives Ports Limited, The Committee's Chair, Mulaku MP Ibrahim Naseer shared with the committee members the recommendations made by them in an informal meeting with the Auditor General and the Chair of the Public Accounts Committee. The members, however, sought a letter from the Auditor General asking him to conduct a special audit on the issue as decided earlier.
