In today’s meeting committee discussed on the reports sent every three months by Maldives Police Service on undocumented expatriate workers. Also the committee discussed on the issue submitted by the President, for parliamentary approval to appoint of Mr. Ali Faiz, Ma.Manaage as the Ambassador to Sri Lanka. It was decided to interview Mr. Ali Faiz on committee’s next meeting and to check his records from the relevant authorities. And a new issue was raised by MP Ahmed Haitham regarding a Maldivian travelled from Dubai who was held at the airport due to the passport having only one name and the embassy did not attend this matter. This issue was discussed in the meeting, but the committee did not decide on the matter.
