In this meeting, the chairperson and deputy chairperson were appointed amongst the members of the committee, due to the re-composition of the Standing Committees of the People’s Majlis. Legal Officer Uz Faruhath Habeeb presided over the selection process of committee chairperson and vice chairperson. Hoarafushi constituency member Ahmed Saleem’s name was proposed by South Galolhu Constituency Member Meekaail Ahmed Naseem and seconded by Dhaandhoo constituency member Yaqoob Abdulla Hoarafushi constituency member Ahmed Saleem was unanimously elected as the chair of the committee. Meanwhile, Dhaandhoo constituency member Yaqoob Abdulla's name was proposed by Horafushi constituency member Ahmed Saleem and seconded by Vilingili constituency member Saud Hussain. Dhaandhoo constituency member Yaqoob Abdulla was unanimously elected as the deputy chair of the committee. Then, Committee decided Working quorum of the Committee as 4 members, and Voting quorum was decided as 5 members.
