In this meeting, the chairperson and deputy chairperson were appointed amongst the members of the committee, due to the re-composition of the Standing Committees of the People’s Majlis. Deputy Director Uza Aminath Asfa presided over the selection process of committee chairperson and vice chairperson. Maradhoo constituency member Ibrahim Shareef’s name was proposed by Mathiveri Constituency Member Hassan Zareer and seconded by Vilingili constituency member Saud Hussain. Maradhoo constituency member Ibrahim Shareef was passed by the majority as the chair of the committee. Meanwhile, Vilingili constituency Saud Hussain’s name was proposed by Mathiveri Constituency Member Hassan Zareer and seconded by Maradhoo constituency member Ibrahim Shareef. Vilingili constituency member Saud was passed by the majority as the deputy chair of the committee.
