In Today's meeting the committee reviewed Auditor General’s Office estimated budget for the year 2024. Two proposals were put forward as to how the committee could conclude the matter. 1. The proposal by Hanimaadhoo Constituency Member Abdul Qafoor Moosa “To amend the total amount of Recurrent expenditure and fixed Asset to MVR 74,179,129 (Seventy-Four Million One Hundred and Seventy-Nine Thousand One Hundred and Twenty Nine, PSIP amount as MVR 38,100,000 (Thirty-Eight Million One Hundred Thousand) making up the total budget to MVR112,279,129 (One Hundred and Twelve Million Two Hundred and Seventy Nine Thousand One Hundred and Twenty Nine)”. It was seconded by Dhidhdhoo constituency member Abdulla Waheed. 2. The proposal by Thimarafushi Constituency Member Abdulla Riyaz “To get an opinion from President elect office regarding the budget”. It was seconded by North Kulhudhufushi constituency member Yasir Abdul Latheef. The first proposal was passed by the majority of members present on the committee. (5 votes)
