Summary

The committee decided to summon State Trading Organizations management for failing to send the requested information despite multiple reminders. The members discussed the pending issues in the committee status and decided as follows. 1. Decided to take Maldivian’s pilots strike issue from the agenda as information have been obtained from the company and the issue have been resolved. 2. Decided to take the issue raised by Sports Corporation regarding difficulties faced by the company in achieving its stated functions and objectives from the agenda as amendments have been made to Sports Act to resolve the issue. 3. Decided to resume the issue of reviewing loans taken by state-owned companies after the change in the board of companies following the change of government, and to take the matter off agenda for the time being. 4. Decided to review the issue proposed by MP Ibrahim Rasheed to clarify the allegations levelled by the Deputy Managing Director at the time of his resignation, against the Managing Director and Chairperson of Fenaka Corporation with another issue related to Fenaka Corporation and decided to take this matter off agenda. 5. Decided to take the issue of hike in ticket prices for domestic flights off agenda as information has been clarified from Island Aviation Services.
