Summary

In today’s meeting, the committee reviewed the issue sent by Raha Resorts stating that Island Aviation Services decided not to renew the agreement between them to provide domestic flights to tourists travelling to the resort and decided to summon officials of Island Aviation Services to clarify the allegations by Raha Resorts. It was also decided to seek the Counsel General's legal advice to clarify whether the members appointed by the President to the Privatization and Corporatization Board could function on the board;participate and vote in board meetings unless approved by parliament. In addition to that members discussed the need to meet the new management of Aasandha company to find out what can be done to improve its operations in view of the major changes in the company's functioning. In the absence of a voting quorum of the committee, the committee decided to agenda the matter for the next meeting, hence the committee was concluded.
