In this meeting committee decided on the deadline to complete committee review of the resolution seeking the government to provide easy access to foreign currency (US dollars) for those working in fisheries sector such as maldivian fishermen, fishing boat owners and employees of Maldives Industrial Fisheries Company Limited (MIFCO) and discussed about how to proceed with the resolution. The Committee decided on the deadline to complete the work on the resolution as February 29, 2024, and also to gather relevant information from MIFCO and Ministry of Fisheries and Ocean Resources in writing followed by meeting aforementioned authorities thereafter.
