In this meeting, members reviewed the pending petitions in the committee. Firstly, the committee discussed the petition filed by flat owners on water issues and other major issues of 100 housing units constructed in Naifaru, and unanimously decided to check the current status of the issue highlighted in the petition, from Ministry of Housing, Land and Urban Development and Naifaru Council. Committee also deliberated to complete the works of the said petition by 28th February 2024. Nextly, committee discussed the petition seeking not to cancel the gazetted list of flat owners published by the previous government under the Gedhoruveriya Scheme. After a healthy deliberation, committee unanimously decided to conduct a public forum. Also, committee agreed to arrange the meeting outside the premises of the People's Majlis, depending on the number of people who are to attend the forum. Lastly, committee reviewed the petition objecting the decision of the council on giving the north coast of Kudarikilu for building guest houses for local tourism. After debating on the issue, committee unanimously decided to meet with Council and the Petitioners to get more clarification on the issue highlighted in the petition.
