The meeting first proceeded with the election of the Chairman of the Committee as the post of Chairman has become vacant. Assistant Director General, Legal Affairs Dr. Aminath Asfa Shafie conducted the election of the committee chairperson. The opportunity was opened for the nomination of a person or persons to be the chairman of the committee. Funadhoo MP Mohammed Shahid nominated the name of Villingili MP Saud Hussain. This nomination was seconded by Gemanafushi MP Ahmed. The motion was passed unanimously by the members present in the committee. Thereafter, the opportunity was opened for the nomination of a person or persons to be the Vice-Chairman of the Committee. Funadhoo MP Mohammed Shahid nominated the named of Hithadhoo South MP Ibrahim Nazil. This nomination was seconded by Mathiveri MP Hassan Zareer. The motion was passed unanimously by the members present in the committee.
