In this meeting the Committee approved the report regarding the ensuring of rule of law in the Covid-19 pandemic prepared by the Committee. The report was approved with the majority votes of the Committee members. Moreover, MP Hassan Latheef requested to send a letter to Clemency Board inquiring into the decision by the President to grant clemency to 105 convicts. Furthermore, the Committee also decided to amend the Criminal Procedure Bill, to address the concerns expressed by the Prosecutor General in his letter to the Committee.
