In this meeting the Committee discussed the issue of the candidates nominated by the President to the Supreme Court of Maldives. The Committee decided to send the matter to the Majlis as it was to be determined by the Majlis, as proposed by MP Siraj and seconded by MP Hassan Zareer. Furthermore, the Committee discussed the issue of High Court Deputy Director Mohamed Nizam, who had been accused of tweeting under a pseudonym, that contradicts with his official position at the High Court and the ethical standards he was required to uphold. The Committee unanimously decided to refer the issue to the Department of Judicial Administration as it was their mandate and request them to send a report once their investigation on the matter was done, as proposed by MP Jeehan and seconded by MP Ali Riza.
