In this meeting, the Committee voted to appoint its chairperson and a deputy chairperson, due to the re-composition of the Standing Committees of the People’s Majlis. As such, Motion submitted by MP for Holhudhoo Constituency Yoonus Abdulla, seconded by MP for Gemanafushi Constituency Ahmed Saeed, to appoint MP for Baarashu Constituency Ahmed Abdulla as the chairperson of the Committee was passed with a majority of the Members present. Additionally, Motion submitted by MP for Gemanafushi Constituency Ahmed Saeed, seconded by MP for Holhudhoo Constituency Yoonus Abdulla, to appoint MP for Kelaa Constituency Ibrahim Shareef as the deputy chairperson of the Committee was also passed with a majority of the Members present. Also in this meeting, Motion submitted by MP for Kurendhoo Constituency Abdul Ghani Abdul Hakeem, seconded by MP for Holhudhoo Constituency Yoonus Abdulla, to determine 3 members as the working quorum and 5 members as the voting quorum of the Committee was passed unanimously.
