In this meeting, the chairperson and deputy chairperson were appointed amongst the members of the committee, due to the re-composition of the Standing Committees of the People’s Majlis. Legal Officer Shahzaadh Saeed presided over the selection process of committee chairperson and vice chairperson. Makunudhoo contituency member Mohamed Raee’s name was proposed by Milandhoo Constituency member Ali Riza and seconded by Manadhoo Constituency Member Ahmed Haroon. Makunudhoo contituency member Mohamed Raee was unanimously elected as the chair of the committee. Meanwhile, Manadhoo Constituency Member Ahmed Haroon’s name was proposed by Milandhoo Constituency member Ali Riza and seconded Gan Constituency member Mohamed Visam. Manadhoo Constituency Member. Ahmed Haroon was unanimously elected as the deputy chair of the committee.
