In this meeting, the chairperson and deputy chairperson were appointed amongst the members of the committee, due to the re-composition of the Standing Committees of the People’s Majlis. Deputy Director Aishath Fazla presided over the selection process of committee chairperson and vice chairperson. Addu Meedhoo Constituency member Rozaina Adam proposed Hinnavaru constituency member Jeehan Mahmood’s name to appoint as the Chairperson and Vaikaradhoo Constituency Hussain Ziyadh’s name to appoint as deputy chairperson of the committee seconded by South Fuvahmulah constituency member Mohamed Mumthaz. Hinnavaru constituency member Jeehan Mahmood and Vaikaradhoo constituency Hussain Ziyadh was unanimously elected as the chairperson and deputy chairperson of the committee.
