The first thing in the meeting was the selection of a chair of the committee. Legal Officer Milha jamal presided over the selection process. Hulhumale’ contituency member Ali Niyaz’s name was proposed by Thoddoo Constituency Member Hassan Shiyan and supported by Guraidhoo contituency member Ibrahim Shaaz. Hulhumale’ contituency member Ali Niyaz was elected as the chair of the committee by the majority of the committee. Meanwhile, West Maafannu contituency member Mohamed Falah’s name was proposed by Hulhumale’ contituency member Ali Niyaz and supported by Guraidhoo contituency member Ibrahim Shaaz. West Maafannu contituency member Mohamed Falah was elected as the deputy chair of the committee by the consensus of the committee.
