The first thing in the meeting was the selection of a chair of the committee. Legal Officer Ishaq Hussain presided over the selection process of committee chairperson and vice chairperson Ihavandhoo contituency member Mohamed Shifau’s name was proposed by Kendhikulhudhoo Constituency Member Ahmed Easa and supported by Funadhoo contituency member Mohamed Shaahidh. Ihavandhoo contituency member Mohamed Shifau was unanimously elected as the chair of the committee. Meanwhile, Dhuvaafaru contituency member Ismail Ahmed’s name was proposed by Kendhikulhudhoo Constituency Member Ahmed Easa and supported by Funadhoo contituency member Mohamed Shaahidh. Dhuvaafaru contituency member Ismail Ahmed was unanimously elected as the deputy chair of the committee
