Meeting with Tourism Minister to further discuss first draft of Maldives Safe Tourism Guideline. Minister stated that comprised in case of a rapid increase of Covid-19 cases in the country, the tourism minister stressed that they are working on a third draft of the guideline and situation in Maldives have been changed since the first draft of it. And first draft was aimed to those who wish to come to the Maldives for a prolonged period for quarantine purposes. In formulating the guideline ministry sought assistance from medical team, referred to procedures followed by other countries, WHO guidelines, UN-WTO instructions and opinions and HPA guidelines for public safety. The first guideline was about pre boarder opening phase.
